I enjoyed this book with all the twists & turns. Cara & Kieran were high school sweethearts that just couldn't get their timing right. I enjoyed Kieran in Love Garage & hated his fiancee, Melinda. I was excited to read his story in Coach Love. He struck me as a weak character that lamented his challenges, but ultimately worked to get his act together. Cara's need for financial & emotional stability eclipsed her understanding of reality at times (those were the same times I wanted to scream at my Kindle!).

This was a good read. It definitely had very slow moving parts that had me taking a break to read something else. Overall, a good continuation to the saga. I'm really curious about Dom now!!!

Coach Love The Love Brothers edition by Liz Crowe Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The romantic twists and turns of another Love brother are on dramatic display in this second installment in this series. Kieran's life seemed to be going so well in high school until he was painfully dumped by his true love Cara. His cycle of pain continued when a career-ending sports injury occurred which drove him back home leaving him a lost soul. Just when he finally seems to have gotten his life back together with a new love he's reunited with his old love which leads to some painful decisions for everyone. Kieran was always seen as the perfect son but his cheating in this story tarnished that image for me, but with Ms. Crowe's impressive writing skills she still makes him likable and had me rooting for his HEA throughout all the ups and downs.

Cara always knew she'd made a mistake dumping Kieran but moved on to find a man she cares about with a life of contentment. Seeing Kieran again has her doubting her happiness though and with old feelings intensifying she reconnects with him despite all the pain it leads to. Cara's a likable woman doing something that I find disappointing, but Ms. Crowe makes her a multi-dimensional character whose acts are understandable in her quest for true happiness.

The people in this story are flawed, they don't always do the right thing but they go with their heart despite everything. Their imperfections are what pull you in as we see the grey side of life depicted. Family plays a large part in this story and are equally realistic as they're sometimes overbearing and say the wrong thing. They're loyal though and always there when needed. Amidst the romantic drama surrounding Kieran and Cara is the emotional struggle weighing on Dominic. His pain is palpable and I'm even more drawn to him in anticipation of his story arriving next.
This is the second book in the series and you need to read them in order to really understand what is happening. This book focuses on the second oldest son Kerian and how he finds his happily ever after. Kerian and Melinda pushed their wedding back after the Halloween incident then he catches her with another man. They break things off however that doesn’t seem to last long and they wind up as bed buddies. Then there is Cara. The girl who was always around as a kid and they practically grew up together. They were each other’s first everything. Then during college Cara broke things off because she was scared. She broke it off in the worst possible way by saying she never loved him when in fact they still love each other even six years later. They reconnected when she moved back to town and wound up being Kerian’s pt doctor. They were both totally taken by surprise when they saw each other for the time is so long. Now they are both engaged to other people but that doesn’t stop how they feel for each other. They have a few stolen moments here and there. Cara has been having second thoughts about marrying her fiancé and now having these stolen moments with Kerian hasn’t been helping. Kerian has been down on himself since he got hurt and lost his basketball career. Then he got the teaching job and found that he loved it but then got pink slipped since he was just a temp teacher and he was the last hired. This doesn’t help things. Cara finds somethings out about her fiancé and isn’t sure how she is going to handle it just that she needs to talk with him and that have some decisions to make as to their future. So much happens in this book. I love Kerian and the other characters so much. I am totally sucked into this series. Kerian is kind of having a mid-life crisis at like 30. His life is turning out so different from how he always imagined it would. Now faced with that fact that he doesn’t really like the woman he was engaged to but can’t seem stop being bed buddies with her and then all the feeling for Cara that have never gone away he is going through so much. All the characters in this series are great. I am excited to read the next book right away. The next book seems like it is going to be about Dom and I am beyond excited about it. He played a bigger role in this book than he did in the first one or the novella. Liz Crowe is a great writer and I look forward to reading more books by her in the future.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
3 1/2 Stars

First off, if you have a problem with cheating you probably shouldn't read this book, because there is a lot of cheating going on. I wasn't too fond of either character really. Kieran spent the entire book moaning and groaning about his life, but did nothing to try to fix it. His bills were paid by insurance and his girlfriend, he borrowed a car from his family, and I'm not real sure were he lived since he spent most of his time at his parents. Cara wasn't much better. She was cheating on her boyfriend, whining about life, but again no trying to fix anything. Nothing would've changed had it not been for Dominic.

And a little more research would've told you that if you're in Louisville and you look across the river at Indiana, you see Jeffersonville not New Albany (that's a few miles up river). If you're looking from Riveroad, you're looking at Utica. Also, there are no Publix stores near Lexington or Louisville. Sorry, I live in New Albany so these things, while trivial, pulled me out of the story.
