Not All Who Wander are Lost eBook Shannon Cahill

Crimson caught me from the start, and Finn was great too. Not to mention that the villain has my youngest sister's name and I can't stand her a lot of the time, so that amused me. (It''s spelled different though.) I actually helped beta this story and I was begging for more the whole time! This story needs a squeal! MORE PLEASE! :)

Not All Who Wander are Lost eBook Shannon Cahill Reviews

his review is a long time coming. I promised her one like a month ago- so here I am nice and sick and finally getting some time to catch up.

Let me start off my saying that the genre is not something that I read on a normal basis, but I am glad that I was able to read this one. More of a fantasy themed novel, Ms. Cahill is able to draw her readers into the world of the characters very quickly. I was able to connect with the main female heroine almost immediately. Add in a super hot guy, and well nothing more to say about that.

The pace of the story was good. Nothing was too rushed and it kept my attention throughout. The premise of the story was also very good and well written. Dialogue simple and believable. Without giving away spoilers, which I hate doing...I can only hope that we see these characters again.

A very well crafted and intriguing debut novel from Ms. Cahill.

I was given a chance to have a complimentary copy of this book..
Whenever i put a review about certain books i don't usually go with the norms of telling the gist of the book.. What i do is express what i feel after reading the book..  So for this book here is my review

I gave it 5stars.. Why?
This is a fantasy book and i have read enough of fantasy and paranormal books and never did i encounter something like this..
The story is fast paced at first it's a little bit confusing but as you go on you will find yourself so hooked because of it's unique story.

For fellow bookworms out there.. If you're looking for a fast read book..  The story of Finn amd Crimson is for you.
If ever you find yourself so emotionally drained from your previously read book.. This is the best fall back story..
It is short but it is enough to satisfy the bookworm in you..  So i hope you go and buy a copy of this awesome book!
I was lucky enough to have been provided an ARC for Not All Who Wander are lost by Shannon McHill and from then on I have never regretted squeezing this in on my TBR list against my scheduled blog tours. I was smiling throughout the whole story.
Shannon took me to a whole new world of human and magical creatures. Crimson, a Guardian of her Black Thorn Forest, has been sent out to the human world after a humiliating last assignment. She was so bummed that after guarding highly positioned "people" in her world, she is now thrown to a human. Little did she know, Finn isn't ordinary like her.

Colliding worlds in first sight, Finn knew Crimson isn't one of the ordinary Seaside people. He felt different and instantly fell in love with Crimson. They got comfortable each other until the prophecy and all the chaos and whirlwinds with their real inheritance were revealed.

I seriously missed reading these genre. The last one I read was the Wings Series by Aprilynne Pike and I felt giddy as a child to have read of the same kind. Shannon took me out of this world and I fell inlove with all the characters, even the evil ones, in the book.

The execution was great. The transitions made within the book to focus each character was well done. I have got to know each of them well in a non confusing way. It was like I was with Shannon while she introduces or tells a character's story.

So, what can I say? I love this and this is a promising debut YA fantasy/romance for all the genre's fans out there. Good job Shannon Cahill!
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I really enjoyed this storyline. Yes, it’s one of those love at first sight books, but with everything that is thrown at them it isn’t overly sentimental. There isn’t time for there to be.

Crimson may be a Guardian sent to protect a mere Human, but she’s helpless when it comes to Finn. Appalled at herself for her immediate feelings toward him she, with the help of a close friend, decides she can protect him and follow through with her desires.

Finn isn’t the mere Human mechanic everyone thinks him to be. He has secrets. And for the first time in his life he wants to share them with someone. He falls hard for Crimson and even knowing what she is couldn’t keep his feelings at bay.

This book follows several characters, switching to add extra information to the story as Crimson and Finn learn their true identities and how the prophecy pertains to them. With Crimson’s family and Finn’s legacy they two find the help they need to defeat the woman who wants to take everything from them.

The beginning may be a little slow, but the rest of the book makes up for it. After the fated two meet it really doesn’t slow down.

The only downside to this is the editing. There were many places I had to reread a sentence a few times in order to try and figure out what it was supposed to say, as some had missing words, others had an extra word or two, and some mixed up the he/she and him/her. A few are always understandable, but these took away from the book, making it harder to fall in love with; which is sad, because the storyline is really good.

My Favorite Moment When Kate pays an unexpected visit to Finn’s apartment.

“Oh and Crimson, your sweater’s on inside out.”
I liked the characters. they were interesting, and I found the story easy to follow. Anyone wanting a lovely little story will love this.
I'd never read this type of story before, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to more books by this author. The characters were endearing and I'd love to read more of their adventures.
Crimson caught me from the start, and Finn was great too. Not to mention that the villain has my youngest sister's name and I can't stand her a lot of the time, so that amused me.
